UCCA9220977 - We are a world leading plastic and contract manufacturer. We manufacture parts and devices in a plastic injection mold facility. We currently have an opening for a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining, upgrading and improving the quality system. You would be responsible for formulating and maintaining the quality goals through a variety of methods. You would be selecting and developing your personnel. You would be communicating with department managers and engineers within the company to discuss processes and any quality concerns. In addition, you would be communicating with suppliers and clients to discuss quality issues, concerns, regulations and requirements. Further you would be responsible for the supervision of your engineers, supervisors and inspectors to ensure that the level of quality is maintained. Another area of responsibility is managing the budget for any quality programs and functions. One of our major markets is the medical industry. Because of this, a background working in a manufacturing environment that adheres to FDA requirements would be a big plus. Bachelor's in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing is required. On top of this, familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements will be an important part of your role. Job# CONCA8953932 & CA8953928 - An environmental company is seeking Senior Compliance Managers for their San Jose & Bakersfield, CA & Grassy Mountain, UT & Phoenix, AZ locations. The person in this position is responsible to administer, implement and monitor all programs and activities to ensure environmental compliance with corporate, Federal and State rules and regulations for environmental affairs at a large and/or very complex land disposal facility. Primary responsibilities include: Conducts formal and systematic reviews of the facility to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for environmental affairs and health and safety; Identifies problems and recommends corrections; priorities and conducts follow-ups on corrections regarding areas of non-compliance or potential non-compliance; Advises corporate and facility management regarding procedural and operational measures to be taken to correct or minimize non-compliant activities with regard to environmental regulations; Prepares and maintains the required environmentally related plans and procedures for the facility; Prepares reports and documents as required by regulatory agencies and corporate and facility management; Applies for original permits and maintains a schedule for renewals, reporting and provisions of all required environmentally related permits; Serves as liaison between facilities and outside contractors, and regulatory personnel on all environmentally related activities. Coordinates and accompanies regulatory personnel during all facility inspections. Coordinate environmental audits of each facility by customers; Acts as an alternate Emergency Coordinator by responding to significant accidents, incidents, and complaints. Prepares and submits all required notifications/reports in a timely manner in the event of the implementation of the Contingency Plan; Attends workshops, seminars, training courses and professional development programs for the purpose of insuring compliance with upcoming changes in federal, state and local rules and regulations; Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must have a Bachelors of Science or /Engineering in a technical field or physical science or equivalent academic training and experience. At least four years of environmental compliance experience with at least two years in hazardous waste environmental compliance required. Forty hour Health and Safety training course required plus CPR and First Aid recommended. In addition, a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State regulations including: RCRA, SARA/CERCLA, TSCA, CWA, CAA, and DOT required. Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. Compensation package includes salary ($70K - $75K/year, negotiable) plus benefits.
