Primary responsibilities are to assist and work with Production Technicians in all phases of manufacture, processing, storing and loading of finished dry ice in block and pellet form. This includes washing, cleaning, and facility record keeping, as directed by the shift supervisor. Additional duties include studying specific Standard Operating Procedures, P&ID’s, PFD’s and all other technical documentation as it relates to the operational and equipment processes. Also actively participates in facility safety meetings and inspection. Must be dependable, punctual, and flexible. Requirements for this position include a full pre-employment physical, the ability to manage 60 lbs blocks of dry ice for the assigned work schedule (8–10 hour shift), which can entail lifting a total of 20 tons of product in an 8-hour period. Must be able to wear required PPE Safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes/boots, and appropriate work clothes. Must be willing to work a rotating shift (Sun – Thurs) 8-10 hours shifts, primarily evening and midnight shifts. Must be flexible to support filling in for vacations or emergencies as situation warrant. Must be willing to work overtime as needed or be called in for assigned work.
